The Story So Far

Founder. Software Engineer. Builder of Unusual Things.

It's 2009; I've graduated from one of the top Universities in the world. Life is going well.

The only hitch? A small, teeny, global financial crisis.

It turns out the world didn't urgently need a physics programmer specialising in modelling and quantum mechanics. At least not outside academia.

So I did what many graduates of the era did: I improvised. I started a business and began contracting.

Over the next decade I found myself doing things my bright-eyed graduate self could never have imagined: watching wild wallabies bounding across snowy fields in Tasmania, standing on top of hydroelectric dams at sunrise, riding in what looked like a bus lined with Kevlar because people kept shooting at the transport helicopters, and racing between client meetings across Europe.

Along the way I helped build (and sell) multiple companies, and worked with startups turning ambitious ideas into real businesses.

Today I'm handing over stewardship of a battery monitoring system after our team sold the IP. This marks the end of nearly a decade of work, research, travel, and a lot of late nights. So now I'm looking for the next adventure.

Let's build something together.
